Iran (IMNA) – The meeting, held on Saturday, focused on various topics including the establishment of a gas hub in the Eurasian region within the SCO framework, the progress of existing contracts, and the development of oil and gas fields.
Both sides engaged in favorable negotiations regarding the signing of these new contracts, which will further enhance cooperation between Iran and Russia in the oil and gas sector. Additionally, Minister Owji and Minister Shulginov discussed the implementation process of agreements related to the connection of power grids between the two countries.
The GECF summit, an annual gathering of heads of state and government from member countries, serves as a platform for leaders to address key issues concerning the global gas industry. This includes discussions on market trends, challenges, and opportunities. Notably, Iran is scheduled to host the GECF summit in 2027, further solidifying its role in shaping the future of the gas industry.
