Iran (IMNA) – Brigadier General Ali Mohammad Naeini, the IRGC spokesperson, stated in a televised briefing that these strikes were part of the ongoing combined offensive operations named “True Promise III,” conducted in response to recent aggression by the Zionist regime.
The offensive involved a large number of drones and missiles aimed specifically at fuel production sites for fighter jets and key energy supply points within Israeli territory. Naeini warned that if hostile actions continue, the Iranian armed forces will escalate their operations with even greater force and scale.
Additionally, the IRGC aerospace defense system, operating under the country’s unified command network and joint air defense headquarters, successfully intercepted and destroyed three Israeli cruise missiles, ten drones, and dozens of hostile mini-drones in the affected regions, according to the spokesperson.
This fresh wave of missile and drone attacks on Saturday night followed the initial phase of the retaliatory operation “True Promise III,” which began on Friday. The IRGC’s actions come amid heightened tensions after Israeli airstrikes on Iranian cities, including Tehran, which targeted military and nuclear sites and resulted in casualties among Iranian officials and civilians.
The IRGC emphasized that these operations are a direct response to Israeli provocations and that their military actions will intensify if the aggression persists.
