Iran (IMNA) – Aref emphasized that there are no barriers to further developing relations between the two capitals. Highlighting the deep-rooted civilizational, cultural, historical, and linguistic connections between Iran and Tajikistan, Aref underscored Iran’s full readiness to collaborate in establishing and strengthening scientific and research centers, academies, and advancing cooperation in science, culture, and technology.
Describing Tajikistan as a friendly and brotherly nation, Aref referenced the recent visit of Iranian President Pezeshkian to Dushanbe, noting that the president fondly remembers the city, its hospitality, and the achievements of the trip. He also conveyed warm greetings from President Pezeshkian to President Rahmon, emphasizing that the peoples of both countries always feel at home when visiting each other.
President Rahmon welcomed the expanding cooperation and stressed the importance of promptly implementing signed agreements. He highlighted that visa waiver policies have significantly increased tourism and reiterated the significance of honoring their shared civilizational and historical traditions.
Both leaders expressed satisfaction with their mutual support and collaboration in regional and international forums, reinforcing the strong partnership between Iran and Tajikistan.
