Tehran (ISNA) – According to HotDocs announcement, 19 projects representing 16 countries including one project from Iran will pitch to international decision makers and members of the documentary community taking place April 27 to May 7, 2023 in Toronto.

‘Whose Dream Are You Living’, a feature documentary from Iran in production stage directed by Mohammad Tabarsa and produced by Mahnaz Tafaghi beside another feature doc from Jordan will be only projects from the Middle East region at the 24th edition of the biggest documentary event.

Whose Dream Are You Living narrates the story of a rock musician living in a small city in Iran struggling to find a way to fulfill his lifelong dream of becoming a singer in a forbidden atmosphere. The project was mentored by Gitte Hunson.

Selected projects will also participate in Hot Docs Deal Maker, a curated one-on-one pitch meeting program, which includes an additional 35. The full list of Hot Docs Deal Maker 2023 projects will be announced on March 29.
