Iran (IMNA) – Brigadier General Mohammad Naeini, spokesperson for the IRGC, emphasized that the operation demonstrated Iran’s offensive capabilities against Israel, marking a significant shift in regional military dynamics.
General Naeini described the operation as a legitimate response under Article 51 of the United Nations Charter, asserting Iran’s right to self-defense. He highlighted three key aspects of the operation: Iran’s firm resolve to counter threats to its security, the confidence and capability of Iranian armed forces in confronting Israel, and the innovative asymmetric warfare strategies employed by Iran’s military.
The IRGC spokesperson reiterated that Iran’s national security and military power remain non-negotiable red lines. He further noted that last year’s “True Promise I and II” operations showcased Iran’s ability to strike sensitive Israeli targets with precision using hundreds of ballistic missiles and drones. Iranian officials have stressed that only a fraction of their firepower was utilized during these retaliatory strikes.
