US presidential election: Harris Leads in Early Voting as Trump Makes Controversial Remarks

Iran (IMNA) – Recent polling indicates that the Democratic candidate holds an 8% lead over Donald Trump among those who have already cast their ballots, while Trump leads among voters who are likely to vote but have not yet done so. This survey, conducted by the New York Times and Siena College, reveals that Harris is slightly ahead in three swing states, with Trump leading in one and the remaining three too close to call.

As campaigning intensifies, Harris addressed supporters in Michigan, emphasizing unity and healing for the nation. In contrast, Trump held a rally in Pennsylvania where he made controversial comments about gaps in his protective barriers and joked about reporters being shot at during potential assassination attempts. “To get me, somebody would have to shoot through the fake news and I don’t mind that so much,” he stated, labeling the press as “seriously corrupt.” Trump’s communications director later claimed these remarks were intended to prioritize journalist safety.

With over 77.6 million votes already submitted, the election outcome remains uncertain as both candidates continue to vie for crucial support in swing states.
