Iran (IMNA) – He strongly criticized calls for restraint as hypocritical, emphasizing that such responses fail to address the gravity of the situation.
Baghaei stated, “We clearly declare that all the countries that supported the Zionist regime or sought to justify this aggression are considered accomplices to Israel’s aggression against Iran.”
He accused the United States and Western countries of enabling Israeli actions through continued support and impunity, claiming that this has placed regional and global peace and security under unprecedented threat.
Referring to recent Israeli attacks on residential areas and Iran’s peaceful nuclear facilities, including the facility in Natanz, Isfahan, Baghaei asserted, “The attack on Natanz [and] Isfahan nuclear facilities absolutely violates all international norms and rules.”
He reiterated that the UN Security Council must act decisively and fulfill its duties, reiterating that mere calls for restraint are insufficient and amount to hypocrisy.
“This war is not only against Iran; it is a war against humanity,” Baghaei declared. “This conflict is not a dispute between governments over borders or ideological differences, but a war waged by an occupying entity practicing apartheid.”
He concluded by stating that the conflict represents a violation of the United Nations Charter, the rule of law, and the core values humanity has fought to uphold.
