Iran (IMNA) -On Friday night, Brigadier General Ahmadi Vahidi, a senior advisor to the commander of the Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC), informed state TV that Operation True Promise III successfully struck multiple Israeli targets in the occupied territories. Among the targets hit were the Nevatim and Ovda airbases, which house the Israeli regime’s command and control and electronic warfare centers. General Vahidi noted these bases were used to launch aggression against Iran.
Other IRGC targets included the Tel Nof airbase near Tel Aviv, the Zionist regime’s defense ministry, and its industrial and military centers in Tel Aviv. General Vahidi added that the operation planners had identified over 150 targets, which were engaged in multiple stages.
The general asserted that the Israeli regime made a severe miscalculation by attacking Iran, cautioning the Zionists to prepare for the repercussions. During Operation True Promise III, hundreds of missiles were launched by Iran on Friday evening, successfully penetrating the Zionists’ heavily promoted multi-layered air defense system.
This operation followed Israeli regime attacks on several residential neighborhoods in Tehran and other parts of Iran in the early hours of June 13. These strikes resulted in the martyrdom of Chief of Staff of the Iranian Armed Forces Major General Mohammad Hossein Baqeri, Commander of the Islamic Revolution Guards Corps Major General Hossein Salami, Commander of Iran’s Khatam al-Anbia Central Headquarters Major General Gholam Ali Rashid, Commander of the IRGC Aerospace Force Major General Amir Ali Hajizadeh, and at least six Iranian nuclear scientists.
Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei had previously warned the Zionist regime of harsh punishment for the strike, stating, “With this crime, the Zionist regime has prepared for itself a bitter, painful fate, which it will definitely see. ”
