Iran (IMNA) – In an interview with Rossiya-24 television, Jalali stated, “This document is now ready to be signed,” adding that there are multiple options for the signing ceremony. One possibility is to hold it during the BRICS summit in Kazan, scheduled for October 22-24.
Jalali noted discussions with Russian officials about potentially signing the agreement at a later date during a bilateral visit, which could allow for a more formal ceremony to enhance the treaty’s prestige. He confirmed that the agreement has been reviewed and approved by various agencies, including the foreign ministries of both nations, and has received pre-approval from the presidents of Russia and Iran.
On September 30, Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin visited Iran and expressed Russia’s interest in elevating cooperation with Tehran. Iranian First Vice President Mohammad Reza Aref emphasized that collaboration with Russia remains a priority for Iranian foreign policy.
