RoshanayRah-EN;؛

Iran (IMNA) – The initial talks following the Iranian presidential election have already taken place, and Kosachev emphasized that the two countries’ leaders are confident in the development of their relations.

According to Kosachev, active communication channels, including parliamentary ties, have been established and are functioning effectively. The two countries have also finalized preparations for a comprehensive strategic partnership treaty. Iran’s Parliament Speaker Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf’s participation in the 10th BRICS Parliamentary forum in St. Petersburg is an example of the growing inter-parliamentary cooperation.

Kosachev highlighted that Russian and Iranian parliamentarians share similar views on establishing a just world order and respecting traditional values. He also emphasized that Russia and Iran have gained experience in dealing with Western sanctions and can provide significant support to each other.

During the meeting, officials discussed a range of issues of mutual interest, including the international agenda, cooperation within BRICS, and bilateral relations between Russia and Iran.
